Beauty in the Breakdown

You know you've held things in to long when you let go. Today I did just that. I broke down. My baby was feeling pain and I felt it too. The teething monster is an awful creature that prays on sweet little girls & boys. No medicine nor Mama's touch could take the pain away today. After two hours of absolute dismay - I cried. Luckily my husband walked in the door right before I really broke. I can handle anything, usually. I normally never cry and hold in however I'm feeling. I've always been told it's not good to keep it in so when I cry, I cry about everything! It was one of those days. Nothing was going right and everything had gone wrong today. It's one of those days where you tumble out of bed, trip over your two left feet, your butterfingers don't let you hold onto anything, and you can't comfort your crying baby! Yup, that has been how my day is going! She is sleeping right now & I can think. You know, it's good to cry and get emotions out of your system. It doesn't mean you don't feel, it just means you're stronger than you think! Every strong person breaks down sometime. I'd like to consider myself a strong woman! Leaving family and moving to Germany with my husband, along with having a baby and raising her for 8 months alone before my husband returned from Afghanistan due to injury made me stronger. If I can do all of that, I can do anything!

Vow to your health!

The way you live each day are baby steps for your future health. I want to be around as long as I can for my family. My life changed dramatically after my little girl was born. From that day everything has revolved around her and I would not have it any other way! I live for her!
To stay healthy I take my Shaklee Vitalizer Strips
& Vivix. I eliminated toxic chemical cleaners by switching to Shaklee's Get Clean line which are completely safe, natural, and nontoxic. They are also environmentally friendly. I have been taking little steps to eat healthier. Instead of sitting down and eating a box of cookies, I'll grab some cheese & grapes to snack on or a yogurt. Just those little steps I know are helping me! I also have eliminated the amount of sugary drinks I take in and replace it with Clean Water. Remember, if you fill your pantry, refrigerator, and cupboards with healthy food, you will

The Dirt on Clean Water!

How much water do you drink a day? Is it just when you take your supplements or prescriptions in the morning and night or during meals? Do you get your 8-10 glasses in a day?

Did you know that water makes up more than half of your body weight? Water is absolutely essential for transporting nutrients to cells, the regulation of body temperature, the removal of waste and toxins from the body, lubricant around joints, and it is needed for chemical and metabolic regulation.  You couldn't survive for more than a few days without water so why limit yourself! Whenever you feel thirst coming on, grab a glass or a bottle of water, instead of a sugary or carbonated drink! Carry a bottle of water with you wherever you go! If you aren't especially keen on drinking plain water - spice is up a bit with some ginger, cucumber, lemon, & mint for a refreshing cool spa drink! Back when I was younger I absolutely hated the thought of drinking water but as the years went on I became obsessed knowing how good it is for my body!

How clean is the water you drink? Did you know that the Shaklee Water Filtering System is the only system known to take lead out of water through filtering? It is the 1st refillable carbon-block pitcher filter, it filters two times more water than Brita or Pur, and it is certified to reduce FIVE times more contaminants (such as lead) than Brita. I had a Brita filter myself but am so excited to be getting my Get Clean Water System in the mail. I'm so happy to know I'll have the cleanest water!

Snow Day Sweet Treat!

Got snow? I know New York sure has a lot! In the many years I've lived in this state I don't think I've ever seen a winter more crazy! There are so many fun things you can do in the snow and with the snow, as much as a hassle it can be putting up with it! I am looking forward to my Babygirl getting bigger so we can play in the snow.

Have you ever made "ice cream" with snow? Yum! Of course, it tastes more along the lines of a snow cone or slushy, but still good! All you need are a few simple ingredients

Faith soothes all suffering.

It's been a while since I've shared a blog and I was in definite need to clear my mind. My head has been running a million miles a minute and luckily I have some time to relax and ponder these thoughts while my little one dreams away during her afternoon nap. I ran across this quote from somebody that I talked to the other day, who really helped me through something, and needed to share with everybody. That is, that "faith soothes all suffering."

I have the word faith tattooed on me and I guess I don't really think about it all too much, which I regret, but life needs no regrets. Whatever is done is done and is in the past. No need to regret. Each day is a new day to start over fresh. There's no need to wonder what ifs and buts, although I am guilty of doing this from time to time.

Lord knows, my husband knows I do this! Last week I received the worst phone call of my entire life. Everything is okay in a sense. I have my worries though still. I did not know what to do. I felt helpless and so far away. To date, it was the hardest thing I have had to deal emotionally. I felt pain physically - I felt absolutely sick to my stomach. Nothing could prepare me for that phone call. I am just so thankful everything is "okay." So, so thankful. I wake up each day since then with a new outlook. It's crazy how perspective can change the way a person thinks after something like this happens. I am praying like crazy each and every day. Time is dwindling down which I am happy about. My faith is what soothed me. God was on our side and so was St. Michael. Nothing is difficult with God next to you.

Oh, Sick Days.

It’s been a long few days without much sleep, a couple of visits to the Emergency Room, fever, Tylenol & Motrin, Saline flushes, runny noses, stuffed heads, & lots of snuggles. My little girl caught a nasty viral infection and she’s been miserable! Unfortunately I caught whatever she had so I've been going in slow motion. Trying to do everything you can for a sick baby is so hard when you know they are in pain

Reboot, Rejuvenate, & Detox!

Have you ever detoxed before? If you'd like more energy, something safe, nontoxic, & want to feel overall amazing then this would be great for you!! Handling children, the stress that life throws at us, the weather, and whatever else is on your plate can push our bodies all out of whack. I am VERY excited to share all about this 5 day mini detox! With Shaklee products, you can do one safely each month! You can feel great while doing it!
5 days, 3 meals, 2 snacks, SAFE, NATURAL, & it works!
I have heard such great stories from my team members, sponsor, & founders.
What can this detox do for you?

After my detox I will post about each day and what I felt and what I ate. Can you tell I am excited? I just am crossing my fingers that my Shaklee order arrives soon! With all of the snow upstate New York has been getting, I’m not so sure when it will arrive though! A few days ago they were calling for 80 inches in some areas. Craziness! Also, a polar vortex in every state, minus Hawaii!

The Shaklee 180 Kick Start Detox is about rejuvenating,

The First Wealth is Health* - Shaklee Style

Shaklee is the #1 Natural Nutrition Company in the country! I decided to join Shaklee for a number of reasons and the main reason being the health of my family. Good health should be the number one priority on each and every one of our lists! “The First Wealth is Health!” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
You have nothing without good health. Shaklee believes that health is the best idea to build a company on. It’s not about sell, sell, sell! It’s about story sharing! You won’t know how great something is unless you try it. This is how I got started. One of my amazing best friends and sponsor let me try a bunch of products before I even became a member and then an independent distributor. For Christmas, I even gave my family members little Shaklee baskets with Sample products. I was so proud of that! Sharing the gift of health is the best gift I believe and I would like to share every detail about my experiences with Shaklee throughout the year. So this is what I plan to do! 2014 is limitless!

Christmas Shaklee Baskets for my family! (I made 5 in total.) In sample bottles I put 2-3 ounces of Hand Dish Wash, in one I put a few drops of Basic H to 3 ounces of water to make window cleaning solution, & in the 12 ounce bottle I added 1/4 a tsp of Basic H for a household cleaning solution. I also put a couple of Shaklee 180 Energizing Tea Packets, a pack of Shaklee 180 Chocolate Smoothie mix, a Product Guide, & a microfiber cloth.
Another reason I wanted to make Shaklee a big part of my life

Passion

What are you passionate about? What drives you – motivates you? These are a few of the questions that have been on my mind a lot lately. I have been pondering and getting lost in thoughts so often. My mind is constantly in motion that it makes me anxious!
Life is full of passion, even if days are grey and bland.

Hello, Two Thousand Fourteen!

Two thousand and fourteen – welcome! There was no better way to spend the first  day of the year but with family, laughter as background music, & plenty of food! This is why I always love this Holiday season! We really get the chance to gather around the people whom we love most and reflect. The sun must have known it was a brand new year as it shone bright through the day. I have been looking at the last twelve months in retrospect (2013!).
